PCOM Library Licensed Resources

This guide can serve as a tool in making a decision on which device or applications to use. Now is the time to take advantage of our licensed resources. We suggest you try the online databases to see which you might like on your device. The choice of device and applications should be made on a personal basis.

  • Access Medicine User Account LInk  
    Create your account and then download the app. Available for Android and Apple Devices.
  • Access Pharmacy-Mobile
    To access this version, you must log in using a personal profile name and password created on a non-mobile browser. Select the MyAccessPharmacy tab, and follow instructions. Use your PCOM e-mail address. Once complete, you may return to the mobile view and sign in.
  • Anatomy.TV
    interface is divided into 5 sections: Anatomy - interactive 3D Anatomy models, MRI - cross sectional anatomy linked to MRI in 3 planes axial, coronal and sagittal, slides-2D illustrations and slides (clinical photographs, dissections etc), movies, and animations.
  • Annual Review - Mobile
    Register at top of page and follow directions for mobile access. For full text mobile you need to download the AR app. Needs to be re-paired (new code) with PC once a month.
    Tip**after you get your access code, if your device says you are already logged in/paired. select "more" on the device & Identities & select the unpair tab. Re-enter your code and it should be fine.
  • Clinical Pharmacology Mobile
    Email to receive your CP code.
  • Diagnosaurus - Mobile
    You must first create an account at "My Access Medicine" by going to the Library home page and selecting the link for Access Medicine. Once created, you can select the tab for DDx for free access.
    Allows you to search 1000+ differential diagnoses by symptoms, diseases, organ system or all entries. Links directly into AccessMedicine to learn more about 1000+ of the most common diseases and disorders.
  • DynaMed for Mobile Devices - Also download for access without an internet connection
    Installation instructions: Click the Mobile link that is on the top left for the DyanMed page and follow instruction.
  • Ebsco Host Mobile Support - for iPhone, iTouch, iPad & Android
  • Electronic Preventive Services Selector (ePSS) - Mobile Devices

  • Epocrates Mobile
    Epocrates Essentials offers drug, disease and diagnostic reference tools.
    Complete this form to register and install. After you have registered, download the app to your device and tap "update."
  • Handbook on Injectable Drugs

  • Isabel - Mobile
    Select the RED mobile access icon on the screen for the ID & PW and follow the instructions.
  • Lexi-Comp Mobile Codes & Installation Instructions - download for access without an internet connection
  • MerckMedicus - Mobile
    You will need your AOA number or License number.
  • mobileMicromedex for Apple®, Android® and Windows 8® Devices
    for academic and educational use only; not for clinical or commercial use. Users are permitted to download summarized content to a mobile device for use in clinical or commercial settings. However, while in a medical facility, they must utilize the facility's subscription or forego online access if there is no current subscription. Cick on the Download Center hyperlink in the top right corner.
  • Natural Standards Mobile
    Via Skyscape, click on link and follow instructions for licensing code. Use PCOM email please.

    Simplified graphics make it easier to search the Catalog when using a small screen mobile device or smart phone.
  • PsychiatryOnline
    DSM-IV and other psychiatry texts, journals guidelines and self-assessment tools.
  • Refworks Mobile
    Email for your Group Code, then use your Login Name and Password.
    Select the Remember Login option if desired. Your login information will be remembered for 14 days from the date you check this box.
    Click the Login button.
  • Stat!Ref - Mobile
    Cross-search more than 50 medical texts.
  • UpToDate Mobile
    You must register for a personal UpToDate account online before you register for mobile. After you register, download the app.
  • Visual DX & Mobile Quiz Information  
    Institutional site user:
    Launch VisualDx from your institutional library homepage, (off campus you need to put in your PCOM ID & PW first) and click on the “Learn How" FREE APP for iPad, iPhone, and Android” button on the VisualDx homepage. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a username and password, you can download the free VisualDx Mobile app on your mobile device from the iTunes Store or from Google Play. Launch the VisualDx app from your device, and sign in using the username and password you created.
    The Quiz is only available on IOS mobile devices.

BrowZine™ @ PCOM!

BrowZine aggregates individual articles from databases and organizes them into a newsstand format, optimized for the iPad or other tablets.Users can browse journals by subject and discover new titles. Once retrieved and saved, an article can be accessed without the need of an internet connection.
