Pennsylvania Co-lab Resources - Touchscreen Monitor

This guide will show you how to use the touch-screen monitor, connect your computer to the monitor, and use the Mersive collaboration software via the Solstice app.

Getting Started

NOTE: Before following these instructions you may need some of the hardware that is mentioned. All hardware accessories are contained in a  "Co-lab Resource Kit" which can be checked-out from the circulation desk before using this technology.

If the on/off button is neither blue or red the master switch may be off. The Master on/off is under the monitor just below the on/off button.

If the Power button is flashing blue/red the unit is sleeping.  Tap the button to wake the monitor.

The onscreen menu can be accessed and manipulated from the gear button or swiping up from the bottom center of the display.

The onscreen menu allows you to modify brightness and volume of the internal speakers and select the feed.   The integrated PC and the Mersive Solstice are setup on HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 respectively.

The Blue ring identifies the currently selected device.

The blue dots below the items identify the current, active devices.

You can connect your laptop to the monitor, using the VGA or HDMI cables provided in the co-lab kit.  The outlets are on the right side of the screen, once you connect your laptop to the screen simply select the device that you used to connect your laptop.

You can also sign-in to the computer positioned behind the screen by using the wireless keyboard included in the kit. The co-lab kit must be checked-out from the circulation desk before using this technology.
