This tutorial gives a basic introduction to the principles of Evidence-Based Practice. Upon completion of this self-paced tutorial, you will be able to:
define Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)
identify the parts of a well-built clinical question
identify searching strategies that could improve PubMed searching
identify key critical appraisal issues that help determine the validity of a study
How to use this Tutorial
Go to the Intro to EBP Moduleand complete all sections listed on the left-hand side. Continue to each section by clicking NEXT in the lower right-hand corner or by clicking each link in the contents. Transcripts can be found on the sidebar under Captions.
Once the tutorial is complete, select the Confirmation tab on this guide and complete the short quiz. Upon completion, you will be able to download a PDF copy of your results to upload to Blackboard. For further information and links, check the Resources for Calculating Results and More Info tabs.
